I'm calm today...no complaints other than my joints being stiff and sore.
Hubby talked to the officer in charge of our "yard rubbish" today. Seems it WAS a neighbor that complained...though the original complaint was about hubby working on Billy's truck in our front yard. *rolls eyes* (And where ELSE was he suppose to do it if our BACK YARD looked like a lake from all of the rain??)
Anywhoos...Hubby said the officer was really nice over the phone. He told the officer that we busted tail in the yard for the past 3 days and hauled a bunch of stuff to the scrap yard, and even told him that we moved the vehicles to another part of the yard unseen from the main road. The officer said he would drive by later today and would call us if we needed to do anything else. It's nearly 6pm and no phone call...
Though hubby really did want to keep the Thunderbird since the body was in mint condition, and all we needed for it was a new engine, he decided today that he'd call our friend Roger (that tows vehicles for a living) and have him take it off. Not sure the entire agreement, but something about Roger keeping the vehicle at his house and looking for an engine. In the meantime, hubby continues to have use of the cherry picker that Roger let him borrow to work on Billy's truck. (Hubby VERY happy about that.)
Hubby started working on the IH Traveler today...talking to the officer got him motivated to get it running. (It actually DOES run, just not very well...so hubby just needs to do some fine tuning. Once it's street legal, it'll give us another vehicle to run around in.) Of course, Kat has already called dibs on it claiming it's hers. ROFL!!
