Getting Lost in PSP-Land

I am SO SORE this morning. Took 2 days for it to catch up with me from falling on Saturday afternoon...but catch up it did!! I still don't see any bruising, but man it hurts to touch my left hip and thigh. *winces* It's a good thing that I had little to do today...house is clean, laundry is done, OS & hubby is off work, and Kat goes in at 4pm. Not that I need an excuse, but all of this combined was the perfect one to get lost in PSP-Land.

Since I did my CT work for Veronica yesterday, thought I'd do Tina's today.

Catching Up On CT LO's...

While I'm sitting here counting down the hours until I reveal the winner of the NAME THAT KIT contest, I thought it was no better time like the present to catch up on my CT required LO's!! I spent the last 4 hours working on this one and really love how it turned out!!

Christmas 1962...Papaw Stone was opening his new denim jacket that matched his overalls.

Each item was resized, a perspective correction was applied to the rug, a freehand selection tool (lasso) was used to "cut-out" my Papaw from his original chair, and drop shadows were applied to everything.

This is the original photo that I extracted my Papaw Stone from. See the little side table? He made it. It still looks the same and is now sitting in my den!

Monday Madness...(new layouts!!)

I was finally able to stop working on my kits for a while and catch up with my CT layouts!! Trust me, it was SO HARD to do. Not the layouts...lol...cause I love doing them, but setting my kits aside!! I have so many ideas and want to get them all done at once!! ROFL!! Matter of fact, I even dreamed about kit ideas last night!! *giggles*

Anywhoos...no more talk of kits for today, I have new layouts to share!!

Sunday Special...(a new LO)

It's the end of June and my cue to work on Christmas presents for the family. This year, for my brother, I'm designing a "family tree" photo album. This page will actually be the cover of the book...a hybrid...since I'm planning on adding several elements as well.

Tuesday Thoughts...updates & LO's

#1. Being on 1 SCT, 3 CT's, 1 Temp CT & 1 Site-CT has kept me very busy the past couple of days.
#2. Though busy, I'm very thankful that I'm on each of these CT's!!
#3. Being on each CT is helping me learn how designers operate.
#4. Being on each CT has left me little time to design my own kits.
#5. So far being on this many CT's is working out time-wise, but if it starts cutting into family-time I'll have to leave one of them.
#6. If push comes to shove, choosing which CT to let go will be extremely difficult!!
#7. I love each and every designer to pieces!!
#8. Each designer has a unique style that I adore!!
#9. I hope that one day, my own designs equals theirs in beauty and in talent!!
#10. I pray that I don't have to leave any of my CT's soon...

**UPDATES**
After my eyesight fiasco of yesterday morning, and it clearing by the afternoon, I was able to pick up OS from work by 2:30pm. I dropped him off at a friend's house, then headed back home to put together a couple of LO's I had floating in my head.

I was lucky to have the quiet time...hubby was on the sofa in the den-SLEEPING, and Kat was in my bed-SLEEPING. Poor hubby had stayed online all night searching for truck parts and such, and poor Kat had stayed up for nearly 3 days while attending this year's PERSACON ANIME CONVENTION in Huntsville, AL.

Monday Madness...and 3 new LO's

It's been a strange day. I woke up at 8am this morning to take OS to work and had difficulty seeing!! Everything was one huge blur. So, hubby offered to be "TAXI CAB DRIVER" for the day. I headed back to bed and went back to sleep. Next thing I knew, it was 1pm, but the good news is my eyesight was back to normal. Not sure what caused the blurriness, but I've made an appointment to get it checked out.

My creativity exploded last night before bedtime...lol...so I've got 3 new LO's to share!!

Sunday Special...LO's & Freebie!!

So here's the thing...two weeks ago I had started posting all of my required CT LO's with my regular LO's throughout the week. By the following Sunday I was at a loss on what to do...so just ended up gathering all of the LO's and posted them again!! It worked for last week, because there was only 4...however...this week I had 14 CT LO's and 1 Challenge LO!! :O

The original post idea was based on my Momma's "Daily Special" at her diner when I was a child. Each day a new "Special" would be featured...so running off of that theme, I decided to feature all of my "Specials" on one specific day. Now, with new CT's added, it works out easier to just feature them throughout the week as I create them.

Due to the new posting schedule, it's just not feasible to showcase them a 2nd time. (Besides, they are continuously featured in a running slide-show found halfway down the left side, under each Designer's name.) SO...that leaves me trying to scramble my brain to come up with post ideas for my Sunday Special.

WHAT TO DO?? WHAT TO DO?? WHAT TO DO?? At the moment, I haven't the foggiest, so while I try to think, take a gander at my latest LO's!!
(click eack page for full credits and gallery view)

Hmmm...still no ideas!!
Do you have any?? Wanna share them??
*bats eyelashes*

Well, I'm drawing a complete blank...so I will leave you with a freebie!! Lorene Hill has graciously given me permission to create QP's to give away as gifts using her kits!! *smiles* For my first QP, I decided to use my LO "On Mamaw's Front Porch" (shown above).

Saturday Surprise...and 3 LO's

First, I want to say THANK YOU to those that have downloaded my "Musical Elements." It's the greatest feeling knowing that one of my creations is liked enough to be downloaded!! *doing happy dance*

Now on to my surprise for the day...I don't know how I did it...truly I don't...but I've just been chosen as a member of Deco-Pages Site CT!! *mouth hangin' open* Good Gobbly Wobbly!! This now makes 1 SeniorCT, 3 CT's, 1 Temporary CT, and 1 Site CT!! *Slaps self on forehead* I never really thought I was that talented...yet here I am on all of these amazing teams!! WOW!!

I'm scared I might be starting to spread myself a bit thin...but so far, I've crunched numbers, rearranged my daily planner for scheduling specific times to create, and I really think I can pull this off. HOWEVER, I know without a doubt that I definitely couldn't add anything else to my plate anytime soon!! ROFL!!

In the meantime, my creative juices have been flowing 90mph!! I decided to play around with a new kit from Tina, and before I knew it, I had made 3 LO's with it!! YUP!! That's right, all 3 came from one kit...Grandma's Bedroom!!

Monday Madness...Insomnia & LO's

Once again, I'm lying here in bed with my brain running 90mph!! Never fails, my body is completely exhausted, yet my brain isn't...ARGH!! What's a gal to do in this type of crisis?? SCRAP!!

So far, I'm up to 5 pages...and I'm afraid if I don't get some sleep soon, I may end up completing all of my required LO's for this month before daylight!! *giggles* Of course, that's not a bad thing...just means I get to play with more kits!! *smiles*

Speaking of kits...OMG!! You just HAVE to run over to Tina's and check out her new kit called "GRANDMA'S BEDROOM"!! The preview below doesn't even show half of what's in it!! Trust me when I say...it's just loaded with lots of wonderful goodies to play with!! (It's the next kit I'm itching to get my hands on!!)

You still here?? *giggles* Well then ya must be wanting a peek at my latest LO's...

THURSDAY TOM FOOLERY...Challenges and LO's!!

Ever have one of those days that EVERYTHING just seemed funny to you?? Well, today was one of those days for me!! HEHEHE

It began this morning when I woke up from a dream where I was trying to fight my way through all of my loving kitties. I'd move an inch, and more would come running up for love. I woke to find myself fighting with my covers instead...lol...somehow I ended up being wrapped like a burrito and couldn't find my way out!! ROFL

Speaking of burrito...it's the name we've given one of the 2 newborns that are left of Little-Bit's siblings. Each day we clean her eyes and give her a bottle...just like we did with the last two. This one, however, is strong, and is growing, and is very active!! We named her Burrito because we have to wrap her in a towel, like a burrito, to keep her still when we are feeding her a bottle. She's the cutest thing you've ever seen!! Remember my little Runt?? Well Runt is half the size of the 1st batch of kittens, and Burrito is half the size of Runt. When she's sitting on my hand, she only takes up half of my palm!! Soon as I can, I'll take a few pics to share!!

Spent most of the day at the water/theme park again. Our high reached 96 today, so I decided I would do nothing more than lie on a tube floating around the lazy river. Of course, my daughter Kat talked me into going down the enclosed water slides again. FAIR WARNING: if ya ever have the pleasure of visiting Alabama Adventures Theme Park, you'll end up with a wedgie the size of King Kong once ya hit the pool at the bottom!! *giggles*

At the moment, I'm participating in 2 challenges hosted by Idgie at Tina Williams Designs Yahoo Group... "Beauty QP Exchange" & "YaYa Box." The Beauty QP's are created using Tina's Beauty kit. So far we have 8 entries!! The deadline is June 14th, so there is plenty of time for you to join!! *wink* My first QP is from the LO "Back In Time" that I uploaded to this past Tuesday's post found HERE!! My second QP is from a LO I posted to all of my galleries today: "Elegant Beauty"

The Journaling Reads:
Though you were gone, long before I was born, I've always
been fascinated with the photographs my Momma had of you.
This one, in particular, is my favorite, because it shows a
glimpse of your elegance, grace and beauty that my
Momma often spoke of.

The YaYa Box, is a family tradition in certain Latino cultures, much like a Hope Chest, and while it did serve the purpose of protecting embroidered linens and handmade quilts, its true meaning and purpose went much deeper than the storage factor. The YaYa Box was filled with Hopes and Dreams -

A father or grandfather would build the box, which would then belong to the matriarch of the family. She would paint, decoupage, or in some way adorn a section on the outside of the box with a memorable scene from her life - wedding, birth, whatever was important to her. However, it was the underside of the lid that became the magic canvas - Here, the current owner of the box was to paint her most longed for Hope, Wish, Desire...This portion was kept secret until the box was passed on to the eldest daughter when she married, or daughter-in-law if there were no female children. The cycle continued until the box was completely covered by generations of art, inside and out.. Much thought went into the images on both the outside and inside of the box as each generation only has one space on each section to call her own.

SO...Idgie has devised a 2 Part - 2 Page Challenge:
Using any of Tina William's Kits that you desire, or a combination of Tina's kits, we're to SCRAP our own "YaYa Box". Page 1 will be your Outside Memorable Moment, and Page 2, the Inside of the Lid - Your Hope, Wish, Desire; Something that has yet to be fulfilled.

Here's my 1st page: The Outside of my YaYa Box

My first page represents the outside of my YaYa box,
featuring some of the things that means the most to me.
(My children; my love of music; my love letters from Tommy
from when we were "long-distance" dating - that I keep tied
together with pink ribbons; and our wedding day.)

Tuesday Thoughts...and a LO

#1. My muse has returned!!
#2. I woke late last night with the ideas flowing faster than I could create!!
#3. My heart is still broken from the loss of "Little bit".
#4. It's hard looking at her little bed sitting on the middle of mine...
#5. Cleaning house has kept my mind off of the pain.
#6. OS is off of work for the day, so I'm not needed for TAXI SERVICE.
#7. Kat and I have decided to spend the day swimming at Alabama Adventures Theme Park.
#8. Thank goodness that we've invested in season passes, or our numerous trips would be WAY TOO expensive!!
#9. Speaking of investing, I need to purchase more ink so that i can print my latest page.
#10. Well, that's enough thoughts for the day...I'm off for a much needed swim!!

The tears have been flowing off and on all day. My fur-baby "Little bit" didn't make it. We brought her back indoors yesterday evening, and like the night before, my hubby and I took turns cuddling and feeding. Then this morning, I woke to find it just lying beside me, hardly breathing, not enough energy to mew. For 5 hours, hubby and I did all we could, but it wouldn't eat, and it's breathing was nearly non existent. I had hopes of it improving, but during the time I had to take OS to work, she slipped away. My heart shattered...

I feel out of kilter. I tried to scrap a few pages today, but I think my muse has exited - stage left.

****UPDATES****
SHHHH!!...Do you hear that?...Listen...that extremely SOFT sound is the noise of my washing machine doing the 7th load since yesterday evening!! *giggles* In just under 12 hours, I've become SPOILED having a front load washer and dryer!! No more hauling stuff to the laundry mat!! No more hanging clothes out on the line!! (Unless it's my bed linens...) No more washing machine that shakes the entire house down during spin cycle!! hehehehehe They are so quiet, if not for the different lights flickering, I'd have no idea they were running!!

The room still sits unfinished, the sink uninstalled, the floors only half repaired, and one wall missing drywall...but I CAN DO LAUNDRY!!

Spent most of the day yesterday tending to one of the 4 newborns. It was dehydrated, the flies wouldn't leave it alone, it had no energy, and the momma cat just didn't want to be around it. SO...hubby and I brought it inside, gave it a bath, kept it warm, and fed it with a baby kitten bottle every 2-3 hours. It stopped breathing on me twice...each time breaking my heart!! Hubby and I took turns all night of snuggling with the little fur-baby and feeding. (It was almost like having a newborn baby in the house...) Was really afraid I would wake this morning to find it not breathing again. However, I woke to find it up and running around, and exercising it's loud set of lungs!! Hubby fed her, cleaned her up, then put her back outside with her momma and she immediately began to nurse!! YAY!!
