New Product And A Freebie

Is it just me or is time moving WAY TO FAST?!?! Where is the time going?? Sorry for my absence, but with designing new kits, homeschooling, field trips, working on the annual yearbook, cleaning yard, remodeling house & several unexpected things coming up lately, I've been neglecting my blog. :(

Speaking of designing...are you looking for something special for your heritage layouts? Circa 1880-1920, these 8 vintage frames will make a wonderful addition to your collection!! (AVAILABLE IN STORE SOON)

Couldn't leave ya empty handed, so I created this little frame just for you!! You can pick it up HERE. (Don't forget to leave some love...)

Well, I'm running out the door again.

Spooky Things Are About...

HOMESCHOOLING:
Well, it was a slow day on the homeschooling front. Though we had the appropriate books, a daily schedule planned, and even got off to an early start, things just didn't go as smoothly as hoped. However, it was to be expected...it's the same thing every year!! LOL

TRICKS N TREATS:
Halloween is just around the corner...the night where ghosts and goblins, witches & monsters roam our neighborhoods. To help you scrap those scary photos that you'll be accumulating, I've created a kit filled with spooky papers, ghoulish elements & a creepy alpha!!

*10 papers
*2 decorated frames
*1 pumpkin
*1 jack 'o lantern
*1 ghost
*1 skull & crossbones
*1 cat
*1 bat
*1 witch
*1 straight ribbon
*3 curled ribbons
*1 curled ribbon cluster
*1 scary tree
*1 alpha set

YOU CAN FIND IT HERE

My daughter Kat had a huge part in the creation of this kit...each of the silhouettes were hand drawn by her, scanned, and then flood-filled with solid color. We hope that you enjoy this kit as much as we did making it!!

FREEBIE:
Of course, we've created a coordinating sampler for you as well!!

*2 papers
*2 bows
*2 brads

I Think I'm Suffering From...

BRAIN DAMAGE!! rofl

Seriously though, something just isn't normal when a body is now working on 54 hours with just 2 hours sleep!! I won't complain too loudly though...my muse is still throwing ideas at me left and right, so I'm just running with it. Who'd have guessed that I needed to be sleep deprived??

In all of this excitement, ANOTHER kit has been completed..."FRESH FOLIAGE". Mid-summer, the smell of fresh, cut grass is in the air, and everything is lush and green. Let's take a walk through the woods and see what we can discover.

This element pack is filled with: 3 twigs
5 leaves
1 mimosa seed pod

1 monkey grass bloom
1 four leaf clover
1 sprig of wild grass
1 leafy branch

Because I'm in such a designing mood, and having a blast creating, I made a sampler to coordinate with the Fresh Foliage Element Pack. It can be found HERE!!

The moment Fresh Foliage & Autumn Breeze is in the stores, I'll give ya a "head's up".

A Change Of Plans, The Beatitudes & A Freebie...

I wasn't planning on starting a new kit while in the middle of working on Kat's Enchanted Garden and the new overlay kit Twinkles and Twilights, but that's exactly what happened today. The idea actually came to me while I was in the middle of playing the song "Consider The Lilies" by The Hemphills, on the piano early afternoon. I kept picturing my tiger lilies as a soft, misted image behind the words...the idea just wouldn't leave me alone until I had it designed!! *giggles*

Once it was completed, more ideas began to flow with photos of lilies that my daughter had taken, but this time the words were inspired by The Beatitudes...the beginning of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, taken from Matthew 5 KJV. By the time I had finished, I had a complete kit and freebie!! *smiles* It's not the plans I had made for myself today, but I'm glad that God planted the seeds and the new ideas grew...it's a kit that I'm very proud of!!

A Busy Bee, A Lazy Day & A Freebie!!

Yesterday was one of those days where I hit the floor running until I finally passed out at bedtime!! Seriously, I was SO TIRED by the time I got home last night, that I don't remember my head hitting the pillow!!
6:30am-wake Tommy for work
8:30am-Tommy calls from local convenient store asking for tools to fix a flat tire!!
9:30am-arrive home, put on load of laundry.
10:00am-check e-mail
11:00am-wake Kat
11:20am-take Matt to work
11:45am-stop by Police Station to ask where I pay "no seatbelt" ticket (I KNOW I KNOW...stupid me!!)
12:05pm-find municipal building to pay ticket.
12:15pm-go to Wal-Mart for cash since municipal building charges $10 to use Visa debit card!!
12:30pm-return to municipal building to pay ticket!!
12:55pm-arrive at County Building to apply for title and tag for Matt's car (yup...4 months late due to owner passing away and wife of deceased not finding title until 2 weeks ago!!)
2:10pm-make it to window to be denied because owner had signed in red ink and now deceased and can't go over it with black ink. Got papers to be filled out by wife of deceased and have notarized to take care of title written in red.
2:30pm-arrive at home of wife of deceased to give her the papers to sign, but was at work. Children called her and I spoke to her on the phone and made appointment to pick her up Saturday morning to get papers signed and notarized.
3:00pm-come home, put load of laundry in dryer and start a new load to wash.
4:00pm-grab a bite to eat at McDonald's.
4:30pm-leave a note for Tommy on the door, dinner in the fridge, keys on the back porch and head back out.
5:00pm-pick up Matt from work and drop him off at THE FISH to work a concert.
5:45pm-meet Tommy at his work to let him know of note, dinner and keys and to pay for his gas for him to drive home.
6:15pm-Kat and I go to Alabama Adventure for swimming, rides and the Nashville Star concert.
9:30pm-leave park and go to Wal-Mart for groceriers.
10:00pm-refill gas tank
10:30pm-eat a ham sandwich and a handful of chips.
11:30pm-pick up Matt from THE FISH
12:00am-crawl into bed!!

Today I got the papers signed and notarized and by Aug 1st the car's paperwork will finally taken care of!! Who knew that I would have had such a hard time with this...lol...thankfully it's done now, Matt can finally go take his driver's test, get his liscense and I can legally sign it over to him!!

The rest of today, I spent lying around the house. I was going to do yardwork, but Tommy got called in to work and I never can get the lawnmower cranked on my own. I must have been more tired than I thought, because I ended up taking a 5 hour nap after Tommy left!! By the time I woke up, it was dark!!

I figured I couldn't let the entire day go to waste, so I made a freebie for you!! A quick page using different items from my series Kat's Enchanted Garden and an overlay from a new faerie kit I'm working on called Twinkles & Twilights.

Click HERE to download...and don't forget to leave some love.

Another Freebie Repost

I was sitting here doing some tweaks to my blog, and realized that a few of my links are now dead or the posts have been completely removed...SOOOOO I thought it would be a good thing to refresh another freebie link.

You can find it HERE.

Better Late Than Never...

I was really hoping to have this posted late Saturday night...but by the time I put the final touches on part 3 of the kit and got the freebie finished it was 4am!! I'm sorry, but sleep kinda won out. So, then the plan changed to get it uploaded sometime Sunday, but Kat decided it was the perfect day to go to the water park and enjoy the sunshine...so we took the day off. NOW LOOK...here it is Monday morning!! Well, better late than never, huh?? *giggles*

I am happy to present to you part 3 of Kat's Enchanted Garden...FLORA & FAUNA. Explore the enchantment that awaits you with beautiful flowers, magical faeries and wondrous creatures. This kit features: 3 flowers, 2 faeries, 1 bee, 1 grasshopper, 1 butterfly, 1 bird and grass.
(Will soon be available in the store...)

In the meantime, I have a little freebie for you!! Surrounded in an ethereal light, this precious faerie is sitting on a mushroom and is waiting to adorn your pages!!

Click HERE to download her for your very own!!

I hope you enjoy her as much as Kat and I have creating her.

'Til Next Time...Happy Scrappin'!"

MY SINCEREST APOLOGIES...

I won't try to make excuses, nor avoid my guilt...I now realize what I did was wrong. Several items of my kits were taken from images from online stores that I either tubed or used as backgrounds. Being a new designer, I still have a lot to learn...and unfortunately I'm now learning the hard way.

I am so ashamed and apologize to each of you that have given me encouragement and have left comments about my kits and freebies. I did not do it intentionally nor was it my intention to deceive anyone...I really didn't understand everything.

My kits that have tubed items from online stores or were made from copyrighted photos have now been removed from the store and I'm in the process of removing them from my blog and my slide-shows.

The following have been removed:
  • Wildflower Dreams
  • Altered Faeries
  • Vintage Fishing
  • Redneck Roses
  • Vintage Kitchen
  • Vintage Laundry
  • Vintage Laundry-Add On
Again, I'm truly sorry for causing so many problems...

Sunday Special...(updates, a new lo and a freebie)

I am still on cloud nine from yesterday!! It is such a wonderful feeling to browse through the store and see my kits, my name, my banner...

I just finished two new overlay kits...grunge and faeries!! Though they took me several hours to get the right effect, I'm very happy with how they turned out!!

Available HERE

Coming to store soon...

I finally created a new LO...lol...it seems like it's been forever since I did one, but I'm not complaining...I enjoy designing and creating just the same, so it's a win/win situation!! *smiles*

FRIDAY FREEBIE...(put on hold for updates)

Due to my family going through a financial difficulty at this time, I have to look for a part-time (possibly a full-time) job to relieve some of our financial burdens. Unfortunately, this has caused me to make some changes in regards to CT participation.

I'd already been pondering the thoughts that I'd taken on more than I could handle when I was chosen as a Site CT, and had even been trying to figure out how I was going to find the time to be on so many. For the past week, I managed just fine, and still had time for family, chores, and play-time. However, adding a new job into the mix, managing so many CT's no longer seems plausible.

So today, with the utmost regret, I contacted several CT designers to give them my sincerest apologies.

Sunday Special...LO's & Freebie!!

So here's the thing...two weeks ago I had started posting all of my required CT LO's with my regular LO's throughout the week. By the following Sunday I was at a loss on what to do...so just ended up gathering all of the LO's and posted them again!! It worked for last week, because there was only 4...however...this week I had 14 CT LO's and 1 Challenge LO!! :O

The original post idea was based on my Momma's "Daily Special" at her diner when I was a child. Each day a new "Special" would be featured...so running off of that theme, I decided to feature all of my "Specials" on one specific day. Now, with new CT's added, it works out easier to just feature them throughout the week as I create them.

Due to the new posting schedule, it's just not feasible to showcase them a 2nd time. (Besides, they are continuously featured in a running slide-show found halfway down the left side, under each Designer's name.) SO...that leaves me trying to scramble my brain to come up with post ideas for my Sunday Special.

WHAT TO DO?? WHAT TO DO?? WHAT TO DO?? At the moment, I haven't the foggiest, so while I try to think, take a gander at my latest LO's!!
(click eack page for full credits and gallery view)

Hmmm...still no ideas!!
Do you have any?? Wanna share them??
*bats eyelashes*

Well, I'm drawing a complete blank...so I will leave you with a freebie!! Lorene Hill has graciously given me permission to create QP's to give away as gifts using her kits!! *smiles* For my first QP, I decided to use my LO "On Mamaw's Front Porch" (shown above).

And now, my latest LO! This page was created for "Those Voices Inside Our Heads Challenge" at KBandFriends hosted by Idgie!!

Now that I'm older, with children of my own, I find those same words coming out whenever my children ask me the same question!!

FRIDAY FREEBIE...

Holy Cow!! How in the world did I manage to lose a day?? It just NOW dawned on me that it's not Thursday, but Friday...15mins before turning Saturday!! :O Either I'm getting old and losing my mind...or it's from pure exhaustion from scratching myself to death!! *giggles*

I spent most of the morning helping hubby in my bathroom with clean-up. We've got half the floor completely replaced!! *doing happy dance* Now we're just waiting for some type of meter to arrive that hubby ordered through ebay...I think it tests the electrical wires?? He said he needs it before he can move the junction boxes and wiring to another location now that the original wall has been removed. Once it arrives, and he places the wiring where it needs to go...then he's immediately hooking up my washer and dryer. The room is no where near completion, but my mountain of clothes are screaming at me, and I hate lugging them halfway across town to wash them!! ARGH!! Hubby says it would be no problem at all having them hooked up and us just work around them...who could argue with that?!?! :D

I had the most awesome evening!! Kat and I went back to Alabama Adventures Theme Park to see Taylor Hicks in concert!! WOW WOW WOW He is just as incredible as I thought he'd be!! Just before the concert began, we ran into several people we knew and caught up with the latest "going-ons" with everyone. We even walked around the park and got on a few of the rides that we loved from the time we went on Mother's Day...must say that everything seems much faster when it's dark...lol!!

FREEBIE TIME!!
OK...enough of me rambling...you're here for the freebie. Well, sadly I haven't had any time to devote to my own, so once again I'm sending you off to someone that is incredibly talented. Candee of Mermaid's Haven is offering a GINORMOUS kit this month called "Vintage Ain't For Sissies" to celebrate her birthday. Everyday for the month of June, she will be uploading approximately 3 (or more) new pieces to the kit!! That comes out to over a whopping total of 150 papers, borders, elements, word art, quick pages and overlays combined!! So don't let this gorgeous kit pass you by...come July 2nd the links will be gone!! Run on by there and wish her Happy Birthday while picking up the first part of her kit...and tell her I sent ya!! :D

Saturday Surprise...and a Friday Freebie

Wow...how did that happen?? Friday rushed right on by, and I was so busy I didn't have time to blog!! Guess I'm still trying to get settled in with my latest CT's. Fortunately, after Thursday's rant, I'm feeling much better. As a matter of fact, you could actually say I'm dancing on the clouds!! My worries over links to groups has been alleviated!! So, I've adjusted my text files regarding CT-Rules again, and all is right in my world.

Speaking of right...it's something that is NOT going on in my bathroom remodel. Seems when my mother had some minor repairs done close to 8 years ago through a HUD loan, they LIED to her when they told her that they disconnect the drain to my tub that led to the ditch that runs through my backyard, and connected it to the pipe that goes into the septic system. Last night, after taking a bath, I drained the water. With half the floor missing, I expected to hear the water flow through the pipes...but I didn't expect it to be so loud. So I leaned over to investigate...to discover water draining to NOTHING but the ground underneath my house!! I lost my cool!! It's been draining like this ALL OF THIS TIME!!

Let's go back in time a bit...around 8 years ago, my mother had gotten a HUD loan for repairs to this house. The list included updating electrical & plumbing, replacing floors, adding new roof, installing a vent for gas stove, replacing back porch and railings, and a few other odds and ends. What they did was very poor work...all of the electrical wires were attached on the OUTSIDE of the walls in tubes, instead of running it inside like NORMAL electricians. (Hubby has had to redo most of the rooms in the 6 1/2 years we've been here.) Plumbing...HA!! Hubby had to redo the kitchen sink within the first year of moving in. Since then he's redone the bathroom off of the office, and now facing my bathroom. We STILL do not have a vent for the gas stove...and what should have been a roof that lasted 15 years, hasn't even made it to 10!! We obviously know they didn't replace all of the flooring...or I wouldn't be having to rip out my bathroom flooring right now.

Thankfully, I have a hubby that knows how to do electrical, plumbing, and carpentry (above his mechanic work)...and is very handy with power tools!! I'm also thankful that I only have 2 1/2 more years to pay this loan off, and can wipe my hands of HUD!! If this is how they repair someone's house, then I really feel sorry for the elderly person that doesn't have someone to help or can't afford to pay someone to fix the damage that HUD contractors have or will make. HUD took advantage of my mother...how many more have they done it to??

Enough of that...this post wasn't suppose to be about another one of my rants...hehehe

If you are still reading, then I'm guessing you are wanting a freebie?? *giggles* Well then, here is what I've decided to do...for all of my loyal readers and friends, I'm offering...MY VINTAGE BATHROOM for free!! :D

**Sorry...link has now been removed**
